Christmas Cards for Business – the Marketing Miracle

by Talulah G. on May 25, 2010

‘Twas the week before The Meeting,
And all among the staff
Was heard “We’ve got only a few days to plan our end-of-year marketing –
And our budget’s been cut by half!”
“Corporate holiday cards, corporate holiday cards” came the refrain
From the seasoned CEO, who went on to explain:

Christmas cards for business
Do more than just look pretty –
Came the wise refrain
Think of them as a dashing way to highlight your strengths
With your customers in every city!
You’re showing each customer you’re thinking of them
And instead of relying on the annoying hard sell,
You’re sagely doing what’s right for the season – thanking and wishing them well.”

And on this subject we realized
Gratitude and good tidings, sincerely expressed, never go out of style.
In fact, we understood that many of our customers
Likely hadn’t received either in quite a while.
In short, Christmas cards for business
Would cost far less to send
Than the price of a disenchanted or lost customer in the end.

Lesson learned – clients thrilled –
To think we hadn’t thought of this before!
We came in well under budget,
And what matters even more
Is that we now have a rock-solid way to elegantly convey our message,
To keep our customers’ disgruntlement at bay,
And to maintain our client relationships in a style that assures we’re here to stay!

I always appreciate greeting cards from businesses I use – and it is a nice way to remind customers of your services.
