Photo Christmas Cards are More Personal than Email

by Arnie P. on March 3, 2009

Today everyone seems to own a digital camera, whether it be a top of the line model or one that is more affordable.  The great thing about digital cameras is the endless amount of pictures you can take, and a nice way to share your digital pictures with family and friends are with photo Christmas cards.  Yes, I know you can email them to your intended recipients, but believe it or not, everyone doesn’t own or use a computer.  Some people don’t even check their email on a regular basis, not that I’d know from personal experience.  That’s why photo cards are such a practical way to share your digital pictures.

Most of the photo cards I’ve come across are very simple to assemble.  Some cards are available with slots that are pre-cut to accommodate a standard sized photograph, like ChristmasCardsDirect’s photo holder cards, while some other designs come with small adhesive tabs that allow you to attach your photo to the front of the card.  Once the cards have been assembled you’re ready for the next step…Snail mail.  That’s right, the good old US Postal Service.

Although it will take a day or two for your cards to be delivered I’m confident that you’ll be pleased by the reactions you get.  Instead of having to check your email inbox to see if anyone has responded to the picture you emailed them, you will probably receive a few phone calls instead from people thanking you for thinking of them and sharing these memories.  Actual photo cards are more personal than a picture sent by computer.  It seems more like a gift than a simple digital photo. I know I feel differently when I receive a real photo card than when I am sent one electronically.
