Photo Tips for Taking Pictures of Your Children
Obviously your children are very important to you and taking good
photos of them is important as well. Nowadays, so many people send
Christmas photo cards of their kids, so of course you want your own
photo greeting cards to look great. Follow some of these photo taking
tips and you'll be on your way to better pictures:
Suggestion #1: How is the light?
Lighting
makes the picture. Try to make sure that whoever you are taking
pictures of is looking towards the sun and not with it to their backs.
Digital cameras are good, but the sun pointing right towards them can
ruin your pictures. Shadows can also come into play. Try to position
your children so shadows do not creep into the digital picture.
Suggestion #2: Closer is better.
When
taking pictures of your child, try to get as close as possible. A
child's face is priceless so let your digital camera see that. The best
photo greeting cards and photo Christmas cards come when you focus in
on your children's expressions.
Suggestion #3: Background is key.
The
background you choose when taking pictures will make or break the
photo. Try not to place your children in front of a background that has
too much going on in it. Remember you are taking the photo because you
want to see them, not the background. Also, keep in mind the type of
photo cards you will be using; some photo greeting cards use decorative
borders, so you don't want a busy digital photo to compete with an
equally busy border.
Digital photos of your kids are
unbelievable keepsakes. Use these three easy suggestions and you'll
notice a better quality in your digital pictures. Before you know it,
the images you take will be displayed on Christmas photo cards all over
the country, or at least where your family and friends live.
