- Having a milestone birthday party for an adult? One idea for a unique photo card invitation is to use a photo from that person's younger days. This will give the invitation a nostalgic feel and also showcase the individual's personality depending on what photo you choose.
- When throwing an anniversary party for a special couple, use photo cards that will allow you to include a photograph of the couple's wedding or another significant time of their lives together.
- When you're having a party, take digital photos of the party site before guests arrive. It's nice to capture photos of the decorated areas in their glory before the chaos of a party makes everything messy and unorganized. In addition to taking photos of balloons, the food table and other decorations, getting photos of the guest of honor before the party is also a good idea.
- Did you have every intention of taking photos during the last party you hosted, only to be too busy to do so? Put out your digital camera and encourage all of your guests to take their own photos and pass the camera around throughout the party. You'll get unique perspectives and party photos that you would have otherwise missed!
- At birthday parties, do yourself a favor and take digital photos of each guest presenting their gift to the birthday boy or girl, then take photos as the present is opened. You'll have visual documentation of the gift-giving that will help when writing out thank you cards.
- Taking pictures of the locals, especially when you're traveling in a foreign country, is a great way to capture the culture and atmosphere of the location. But if you're photographing strangers, asking for their permission before you snap away is a good idea. Be a friendly, courteous tourist and explain to your prospective subject why you are interested in taking photos. Speaking their language as best you can will also help gain their trust.
